Fun Heritage Home Ideas - Coasters

Personalized Photo Coasters are not only great to display and use in your home, but they also make wonderful gifts - Mother's Day, housewarming, etc - a unique gift that everyone will love! These were made with Heritage Makers scrapbook pages are the ultimate when it comes to photo coasters.

I gave these to my Mom for Mother's Day and she said, "I want more coasters, please. These are just too cute!" One of the reasons she loved them so much is that it's a great way for her to share the latest pictures of her grandkids whenever someone comes over to visit.

Here's how to make your own set of personalized coasters:
Use our 8x8 or 12x12 scrapbook pages (depending on how many coasters you want to make) to design your coasters. Once you've received your published page, cut out the squares then apply a thin coat of mod podge directly onto a 4x4 tumbled tile. This type of tile can be purchased at your local home improvement store. Position the page onto the tile and then smooth out the surface to get rid of any bubbles. Wipe excess mod podge from the edge of the tile and then allow it to dry for about 20 minutes. The apply a light coat of mod podge over the page to "seal" it on the tile. Allow another 20 minutes to dry. Since these are coasters, I would also recommend spray some sort of water sealant over the entire tile.
